The first language spoken in the nursery is English, however Welsh is introduced on a daily basis through songs and other activities.
Buttons was established in 2000 by the owner and Managing Director Lisa Hine, not out of ambition to build a business but to provide quality childcare for her three children. Lisa is still very much involved, ensuring that the high standards demanded for her own children from the onset continue to be delivered today.
The Buttons approach to childcare is to respect and encourage every child's uniqueness and individuality, helping each child achieve and develop at their own pace. We provide a stimulating and safe environment which is purposely designed for young children, to keep them active and entertained all day.
Buttons is located in the Centre of Brecon, which makes us easily accessible. We have a recently refurbished safe secure private play area for the children’s daily use and full wheelchair access to our ground floor nursery and play area.

Opening Times
The nursery is open from 8.00 a.m. until 6.00 p.m. Monday to Friday. We offer an overtime service so there is no need to panic if you are going to be late. Just call to let us know and your child can remain in the nursery until they can be collected.

Buttons is located conveniently in Brecon town centre with our entrance located next to the side of St. Mary’s Church. Our full address is Buttons Nursery, 6 Church Lane, Brecon, Powys, LD3 7AS. Our telephone number is 01874 620 170. There are free short stay parking spaces located in St Mary Street and in Church Lane, in addition to a wide range of car parks all within 5 minutes walk.
